Hi there! Welcome to my world of design, beautiful objects, travel and restaurants. I am a milliner and make hats to order for a growing number of private clients. With nearly 200 hat blocks, I also run the only hat block library in the UK. Hat blocks are the moulds milliners need to create hats.
My life wasn’t always so design focused. Originally my career focused around political consultancy jobs, as I had studied politics. I got an MPhil degree in International Relations from Cambridge University, enjoyed working in Brussels in the European Parliament, but increasingly missed the colourful side of life.
As well as designing hats, I now collect obscure objects which brighten up my day and I am obsessed with discovering emerging design talent. You can see my hat designs at martinabohn.com
